You can now listen to your favourite podcasts on Apple Podcasts from any web browser.
Apple has recently introduced a web app for its Apple Podcasts app, which is now available for immediate access at podcasts.apple.com. According to MacRumors, the app is compatible with Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
If you have experience with the Podcasts app for Mac or iOS, the web app will feel quite familiar. It includes sections such as a Browse tab where you can find featured podcasts, a Home tab where you can explore episodes from the shows you follow or that Apple recommends, a Top Charts tab, and more.
Upon my initial visit to the site, I logged into my Apple account and was delighted to find that all the shows I follow on the Podcasts app on my iPhone were readily available. I’m having trouble finding a solution to increase the playback speed on the web app, which is disappointing for someone like me who enjoys watching videos at 2x speed. However, I am grateful that the web app is available as an option.
The recent release of an Apple Podcasts web app comes after the introduction of an Apple Maps web app just a month ago. In addition to Apple Music and Apple TV, Apple also provides web apps.
