Apple’s artificial intelligence plans extend beyond the previously announced launches of Apple Intelligence for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The company is also working to bring these features to its Vision Pro headsets, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg Corporation.
If Apple Intelligence, which is a comprehensive set of features that includes an enhanced Siri, proofreading tools, and personalised emojis, is essential to Apple’s future, then it is not the most surprising move that Apple would not make it available on all of the most recent Apple devices. Nevertheless, despite all of the impressive features that the Vision Pro possesses, it continues to be an unusually expensive device that has a restricted audience (at least for the time being).
According to Gurman, Apple Intelligence will not be launching the Vision Pro this year. The primary challenge Apple faces in this regard is rethinking how the features will appear in mixed reality, as opposed to their display on a MacBook or iPhone screen.
According to Gurman, Apple is also implementing modifications to the manner in which it demos the headset in stores. These modifications include the ability for prospective purchasers to view their own personal media on the Vision Pro, as well as the modification of the headband from the Solo Loop to the Dual Loop in order to improve the level of comfort it provides.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, has suggested that Apple intends to mass produce AirPods equipped with infrared cameras by the year 2026. He says that his most recent supply chain survey leads him to believe that Apple has this intention. When combined with the Vision Pro, these new AirPods have the potential to enable immersive spatial audio experiences as well as gesture controls.
