Google Pay will be discontinued in the US later this year.

Since Google Wallet has replaced Google Pay, the standalone app will close in June in the US. The corporation claims it is simplifying its payment applications. After closing in the US, the standalone app will only be accessible in Singapore and India.

Although the shift may appear unexpected, Google should combine and streamline its payment applications to make its services less complicated for consumers, as it promotes Google Wallet as its main payment tool.

Users can access the app’s most popular features via Google Wallet, which Google claims is used five times more than Google Pay in the US.

The U.S. Google Pay app will no longer send, request, or receive money after June 4. Google Pay users may see and transfer their money to their bank account via the app until then. Google Pay allows you to see and transfer money to your bank after that date.

Google said users who utilized the Google Pay app may still discover discounts on Google Search utilizing the new deals destination.

Google Wallet is its major US mobile payment platform and will likely stay so. The app allows you to use your phone to pay at shops, board a plane, ride transport, store loyalty cards, save driver’s licenses, and start your automobile with a digital key.

Google claims millions of customers in 180 countries use Google Pay to purchase online, mobile, and in-store.
