Samsung’s mobile division stopped holding huge launches. The days of saving its first significant phone news for the weeks running up to Mobile World Congress look to be over.
The latest Unpacked event is January 17, a week and a half after CES. The Galaxy S24 will be our first official glimpse at Samsung’s latest mobile flagship, if history is any indication.
Last year’s early February event introduced three S23 models and a few Galaxy Book computers. Samsung phone leaks have continued for months.
S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra renders are similar. These smartphones should have 6.2-, 6.7-, and 6.8-inch screens. The S24 and S24+ have three rear-facing cameras, while the Ultra has four, including the 200-megapixel sensor.
Square edges and S Pen features are also carried over from the Galaxy Note range to the Ultra. The ultra-premium variant may also come in titanium, like the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Despite being among the first to use Qualcomm’s more powerful and power-efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU, leaked pricing sheets indicate a cheaper price in Europe, which might be good news for users everywhere.
South Bay hosts the event this time. At 10 a.m. PT, it will stream here. Preorder the smartphone sight unseen until January 16 and receive a $50 “reserve credit” from Samsung.
