The Galaxy AI features will be expanded to additional devices with the release of a One UL 6.1 update in late March, Samsung announced today. In addition to the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, and Z Flip5, the Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 will receive the features.
Although initially introduced for the Galaxy S24 series, the AI capabilities will soon be accessible to an even greater number of Samsung users. In light of the fact that virtually every technology company is expanding and introducing AI-powered features, it makes sense for Samsung to increase the accessibility of its own.
Users will gain access to Google’s “Circle to Search” feature with the forthcoming update. This feature enables users to conduct searches using gestures such as circling, highlighting, jotting, or touching from any location on their phone. A further function known as Live Translate will translate phone conversations into both text and voice. Users will also have access to an “Interpreter” function that facilitates live conversations by generating text translations.
In addition, users will have access to “Chat Assist,” a feature that enables them to modify the tone of their communications and translate texts into thirteen different languages using the Samsung Keyboard.
Furthermore, a “Browsing Assist” function will furnish users with concise synopses of news articles, while a “Note Assist” function will enable users to generate summaries and translate notes.
Regarding new editing capabilities, “Generative” Edit will enable users to realign, resize, and reposition photo objects. Additionally, the “Edit Suggestion” function will assist you in rapidly refining photographs, and the “Instant Slow-Mo” function will produce supplementary frames for slow-motion videos, enabling you to document moments more effectively.
