On Tuesday, Snapchat made an exciting announcement about the introduction of new features that will allow users to personalise their accounts. The updates, available for Snapchat+ subscribers, give users the ability to design a customised house on Snap Map, share Snaps quickly, and edit their Bitmoji, among other features.

In a world where social media companies are constantly imitating each other, Snapchat is taking a different approach. They are introducing fresh ways for users to customise their experience on the app, setting themselves apart from other platforms. They aim to draw more people to their subscription service, which currently boasts 9 million users.

Snapchat+ users can create their own unique house on Snap Map, which will be visible to their chosen friends who share their location. Snapchat is now offering users the opportunity to showcase their creativity by customising their houses with various styles, colours, and other personalised touches. For instance, the company suggests that you have the option to choose between a realistic look and a whimsical castle.

The new feature adds an exciting twist to Snapchat’s Snap Map, setting it apart from other location-based services such as Apple’s Find My and Life360.

Now, subscribers have the option to showcase their furry friends alongside their Bitmoji in chats. With the latest update, you can now keep your furry friend by your side on the app, ensuring they’re always with you.

Furthermore, Snapchat is now offering users the option to send Snaps that have a brief duration, allowing them to share content that lasts for fractions of a second. Snapchat has become well-known for its innovative approach to delivering short, easily digestible content, and it continues to push the boundaries of this concept.

For regular users, Snap is introducing a new “live mirror” in its Bitmoji Builder interface. This feature will simplify the process of selecting characteristics that closely resemble your appearance. The new addition aims to improve personalisation by automatically generating Bitmoji based on the camera’s viewfinder.

The company also highlighted its AI-powered lenses, such as the one that allows users to reminisce about their younger selves.
