The SU7 is Xiaomi’s first electric automobile.

Xiaomi is doing well at MWC. The Chinese IT company’s stand has been busy since show doors opened this morning. It contrasts with Samsung’s modest stand, reflecting the Galaxy maker’s muted occasion.

We returned to Xiaomi’s location this afternoon to examine its CES-announced electric car after seeing its new robot dog earlier today. Sony and, by most accounts, Apple are among the consumer electronics businesses trying to get into the vehicle market.

Xiaomi is branding itself alone, unlike Sony, which had a joint venture with Honda. The SU7 “full-size high-performance eco-technology sedan” will come to China next year, unlike others.

In his initial news report, Sean emphasized that Xiaomi has access to China’s fast-developing EV supply chain. For years, the corporation has worked on “HyperOS”—one operating system to govern them all. This year’s MWC theme is “Human x Car x Home,” or “Redefining Connectivity.”

The business says,

Xiaomi EV’s first vehicle, the highly anticipated Xiaomi SU7, is a “full-size high-performance eco-technology sedan” that pushes performance, ecosystem integration, and mobile smart space frontiers. Xiaomi designed the SU7 design and five fundamental EV technologies: E-Motor, CTB Integrated Battery, Xiaomi Die-Casting, Xiaomi Pilot Autonomous Driving, and Smart Cabin. Xiaomi built an amazing vehicle with over CNY 10 billion in R&D and a worldwide workforce of over 3,400 engineers and 1,000 technical specialists in critical areas.

Beyond these details, the firm isn’t revealing much about the car. Xiaomi denied my request to meet with a representative to investigate. The corporation informed me it likes to confine information to spokespeople’s semi-regular booth presentations.

The SU7 is a car—and a lovely one. It was on a revolving platform at Xiaomi’s MWC exhibit. This model matches the CES photos’ blue hue.

Currently, HyperOS details are marketing jargon. Xiaomi again,

From “Smartphone x AIoT” to the “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem, Xiaomi effortlessly integrates personal gadgets, smart home items, and autos. This allows hardware device communication, real-time coordination, driving innovations, and industry partner cooperation. This proactive ecosystem is designed to easily adapt to your present and future demands.

Xiaomi HyperOS is more than simply an open-source technology; it contains system-level innovation to enable cross-device cooperation and assure consistent operations throughout Xiaomi’s integrated smart-life platform. It supports over 95% of user situations with over 200 product categories and 600 million worldwide devices in the “Human x Car x Home” smart ecosystem.

The business claims it is working with third-party manufacturers, developers, and others to fulfill certain grandiose promises.
