Months after releasing its Quest 3 headset, Meta is cutting the price of its previous Quest 2 headset by $50.
The 128GB model is reduced from $299 to $249, while the 256GB model is reduced from $349 to $299. Notably, the revised pricing has been available for the headset since Black Friday. Meta, on the other hand, has opted to make these prices permanent.
The firm is also selling a variety of Quest 2 accessories at reduced prices.
From $119.99 to $89.99 for the Quest 2 Elite Strap with battery.
From $59.99 to $49.99 for the Quest 2 Elite Strap
Quest 2 Carrying Case: $59.99-$44.99
The Quest 2 Active Pack is reduced from $69.99 to $59.99.
Quest 2 Fit Pack: $49.99 down to $39.99
Meta increased the price of the Quest 2 headset by $100 in July 2022, from $299.99 to $399.99. When the Quest 3 was initially unveiled in June, the business reduced the price of the Quest 2 headset to $299.99 in order to sell more units.
While Meta provides over 500 VR gaming titles, it secured a huge deal last year when Roblox launched its Quest headset game via the Meta Quest Store.
The lower pricing of the Quest 2 may tempt people to experience VR instead of paying $500 for the Quest 3.
