TikTok first introduced its functionality in the United States and the United Kingdom in November. One month later, the corporation increased access to 19 other countries, such as Canada, Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the UAE, Argentina, South Africa, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Users may add the music to Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify based on regional availability using the tool.

Users will find a “Add Music” button located below the clip description and below the track name. Users may press the button and choose their preferred music provider for the first time. To change the default service, users need to go to the “Music” section in settings.

Songs from TikTok will be kept in a default playlist, such as Spotify’s “Liked Songs” list, if users do not choose a specific playlist.

Spotify has recognized that a significant amount of music discovery occurs on social media channels. In addition to partnering with TikTok, Spotify has also linked with BeReal, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter (now X) to allow users to effortlessly add music to their playlists.

ByteDance introduced TikTok music in many countries, like Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Singapore, and Indonesia, last year. The business said that it is currently developing the Add to Music App functionality for TikTok Music customers and will make it accessible shortly.
