Wikipedia has recently introduced a dark mode for its mobile website, keeping up with the latest trends and user preferences. A few years ago, numerous apps began incorporating a dark mode. These platforms were YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Hulu, and WhatsApp. In 2018, Apple and Google introduced a systemwide dark theme for their mobile operating systems.
If you happened to visit the Wikipedia website on your mobile device this week, you may have come across a pop-up message informing you that dark mode is now available for use. Here’s a step-by-step guide to enable it:
- Visit the website of Wikipedia.
- Click on the hamburger menu located at the top.
- Click on Settings.
- Choose the “Dark” option from the Color section.
According to information on Wikipedia’s Colors tab, this feature is still in the experimental phase, so there may be some potential issues when using it in dark mode. 
At the moment, dark mode can only be accessed on mobile websites. According to a Reddit user, individuals accessing the site on their desktop may have the opportunity to see this feature in the coming month.
