In eight new countries, Instagram introduces its marketplace that connects brands and creators.

Instagram said today that it is extending its marketplace platform to link marketers with artists for paid collaborations or ads in eight more countries. This marketplace will expand to Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Japan, India, and Brazil.

The corporation tested this platform in the U.S. in 2022. It claims it subsequently onboarded “thousands” of artists and businesses. The social media business encouraged agencies to utilize its API for creator outreach and brief structuring last year.

Meta stated that it would allow Chinese export businesses to interact with artists outside China in addition to offering the platform to these eight nations.

The firm will welcome companies and artists to join the marketplace in these eight additional locations in the coming weeks. Creators may be compensated to collaborate or run a partnership ad to promote organic content.

After joining Instagram via the professional dashboard, producers may promote their work and identify related companies and hobbies.

Meta’s machine learning technology matches businesses with appropriate artists for marketing campaigns on the marketplace. Companies may manually search for creators and customize results using creator and audience filters and the ad experience.

All marketplace inquiries and discussions with businesses will be in a new Instagram folder called “Partnership Messages.” They may also examine marketing campaign information via the app.

Instagram competitors Snap, YouTube, and TikTok provide creative marketplaces. Additionally, some firms are seeking to link marketers with artists. Catch+Release, supported by Accel, helps marketers find licensable content. Craft Ventures and AlleyCorp led $4.25 million in venture financing for Agentio, a platform that organizes YouTubers’ ad sales. Breaker, funded by Marc Benioff, a16z/TxO, Kevin Mayer, and R/GA Ventures, links musical labels and artists with influencers for marketing efforts.
